Our History

Whitehouse Concrete Construction Inc. started with two childhood friends (from the age of 6) and both were from the Flat Creek area in Franklin County. They both went to work at the Buffalo Trace Distillery, as a lot of people did back then, and would do concrete work on the side to make ends meet when laid off from the distillery. The quality of their work was so professional that the demand of their service took off.

In 1985, they quit the distillery to open a concrete construction business to serve the Frankfort/Franklin Co communities. They opened business in a small three bay garage on the corner of George’s property. In 1994, they purchased the property and built a 3-bay garage with offices at 300 Rouse Ave., Frankfort. The company is still there today.

The friends stayed in business together until 2012. George Whitehouse then went solo. In 2023, George decided it was time to retire, so he sold the business in November of 2024.

The business was purchased by Tom and Julie Roberts. The legal name of the company has changed with the new owners, to Concrete Solutions Kentucky LLC. The new company now does business as Whitehouse Concrete Construction, Inc.

Tom and Julie purchased this company to keep the best in the concrete industry in the Franklin, Anderson, Scott, and Woodford communities and to ensure the area would continue to have a company of this type and size for years to come.

Everywhere you look in Frankfort or Franklin County you will see concrete that was installed and finished by Whitehouse Concrete Construction. Chances are, you’ll see our work on your neighbor’s driveway, front porch, patio or sidewalk, or at your child’s school, your church and at many local businesses.

Our concrete footers, foundations and building pads support hundreds (if not thousands) of homes – possibly even yours – and buildings throughout the region. We’ve also worked at the Governor’s Mansion and other state facilities as well.
